Halloween Night

The kids in their costumes...

Our Halloween evening began at a party at a neighbor's house...

Once it finally got dark, everyone headed out to fill their bags!

Pumpkin Carving

With a super busy schedule during the two weeks leading up to Halloween, we didn't get our pumpkin carved until the actual Halloween day!  The kids wanted a traditional, simple pumpkin this year, so that's what we did!

Halloween Parties at School

Both kids enjoyed fun parties and yummy food in their classes on Halloween!

Kidz Praise Leading Wednesday Evening Worship

This Fall, Peyton and Reagan have had the opportunity to participate in Kidz Praise, the children's choir at Central Baptist.  Their first performance was during a Wednesday evening worship.

Jumano Project

One of Peyton's school assignments was to select a Native American tribe (having once lived in Texas), to study the tribe, and to create (as a family project) a diorama of that tribe's house of village.  Peyton selected the Jumano tribe, and we all enjoyed helping his put the diorama together at his direction.

Fall Festival at Central Baptist

The Fall Festival at Central Baptist was held the Sunday before Halloween.  The kids had a great time, and Reagan kept saying, "I just can't believe ALL of this is FREE!"

Falconpalooza

The Falconpalooza Fall Festival is Forest Ridge's annual fundraiser, and it is HUGE!  This year, even Reveille came to enjoy the fun!

 A money booth!

Getting casted!

Playing games

To make the event even more fun, Grandma and Grandpa came in for the weekend and enjoyed getting to see Peyton and Reagan's new school and meeting several staff members!

New Swing Set

After months of waiting (well, moving, unpacking, traveling, settling in, starting school, starting activities, etc), the kids finally got their birthday present from their summer birthdays!  We promised them a new swing set after we moved, and, in October, we finally made good on that promise!  It was installed as a surprise while the kids were at school.  The installer was finishing up as the kids arrived home, and we had to hold the kids back in order to let him finish!  They jumped right on as soon as he declared in finished and were already playing hard before he even had a chance to clean up his tools and leave the yard!
