After Peyton's basketball game, we went to Freebirds with Grandma (who got to see Peyton play basketball for the second week in a row!).

Homemade Tortillas
Peyton's lastest love is Mexican food - specifically homemade tortillas. This weekend he requested to make tortillas at home, so, since today was a holiday and we didn't have to be out-the-door early, we made our very own tortillas! :)

Campfire with Friends
On Saturday evening, we were invited over to the home of one of Peyton's buddies for some campfire fun!. We roasted hot dogs and s'mores, and, once the evening grew chilly, tried to stay warm by the fire while the kids told ghost stories. Peyton actually told a really great story about some people in a haunted house who kept hearing a spooky voice who kept saying, "I am only 32 miles away", then "I am only 16 miles away", then "I am only 8 miles away", and so on! The adults were entertained by our curiosity of how long he would keep cutting the distance in half! (He went to 1/4 mile!) The kids didn't mind the cold and had fun chasing each other in the dark with flashlights and playing zombies!
First Basketball Game of the Season
Basketball season has started! This year, Daddy is the assistant coach for Peyton's Upward team, the Seminoles. The first game was on Saturday. The team - and Peyton - played great!

The Cat in the Hat
On Friday night, the four of us headed to downtown San Antonio, having reservations to watch The Cat in the Hat at the Magik Theatre. Our first stop, however, was a Mexican food dinner at Rosario's. After dinner, we walked a few short blocks to the Magik Theatre to claim our seats for the show. As always, the Magik Theatre did not disappoint!

Girl's Night Out at Chick-fil-A
Last Tuesday, while Daddy and Peyton went to basketball practice, Mommy and Reagan went to Girl's Night Out at a local Chick-fil-a. While it was still fun, it was not quite as exciting or extravagant as the Daddy/Daughter Date Night a while back. The tables were covered with pink and purple table cloths. There was a fun photo booth where we got "dressed up" to take a cute picture. Reagan was given a baggie with lip gloss and hand lotion. She was also given a pink carnation as we left.

Winter Sports at Reagan's School
Reagan's Kinder Prep class recently played some fun winter sports at school - Texas style! :) Reagan's favorite was "ice skating". They slide around the carpet on pieces of waxed paper!

Playing in Pawnee
We decided to spent our Cotton Bowl evening and last weekend of Winter Break in Pawnee. We arrived on Friday night, just in time to watch A&M beat Oklahoma at Texas Stadium. The kids wore their 12th Man jerseys and practiced whooping and some Gig 'Ems!
