2nd Grade Field Trip to Sea World

The 2nd Graders at Specht always get to take a field trip to Sea World in the Spring.

After we arrived, we ran into Peyton's cousin Riley and mom Kerri - Riley's 2nd grade was also on a field trip!

Weekend with Mia & Lennon, Peyton's Goal and the Zoo with Kendra

Mia and Lennon recently came to San Antonio for a quick visit.  Peyton and Reagan excited counted down the days until they got here!

They arrived on GranGran's 80th birthday.  As the kids played in the front yard and driveway, they drew this message for GranGran.  We also got to call her and all sing Happy Birthday. 

Movie time!  The kids all cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie before their big sleepover in the playroom. 

The next morning we all went to Reagan's soccer game...

After the games, we headed down to the zoo to meet up with Jenna, the Adams and the Stephens.

"Specht"acular Fine Arts Night

Our school's annual "Specht"acular Fine Arts Night was held at a local church "The Summit" recently.  The 2nd graders performed a couple of Seuss-themed songs, thus the reason for Peyton's Cat-in-the-Hat attire.  

Peyton selected this piece of art to display.  He was very proud of his work!

Peyton is becoming much more comfortable being on stage and "performing"!  This was definitely his best show to date!

Our Bluebonnets

Last Fall, we "planted" some bluebonnet seeds on our greenbelt beyond our fence.  Due to a dry Fall and the constant grazing of deer in that area, we were very surprised to see that this bluebonnet plant actually sprouted up!  It's not much, but it's a start!
