Boston - Day 6

On Day 6 we headed back into Boston.  Our first stop was the Amtrak station.  Gran Gran and Pe Pa were catching the train for their 3 day trip back to Texas.  After saying goodbye and leaving the train station, our goal for the remainder of the day was to cram as much "Boston" as we could into the few hours we had left there.

Peyton and Daddy climbed to the top while Mommy stayed behind with a sleeping Reagan.

Lunch in Harvard Square - Boloco is to Harvard as Freebirds is to Texas A&M.

Touching the toe of John Harvard is supposed to bring good luck.

We concluded Day 6 at the beach house with a dinner of Bethany's yummy enchiladas.  The next morning, we left Shelby, Jenna, Mia and Lennon at the beach house to enjoy for another day and the rest of us headed off to the airport.

Peyton's favorite part of the trip - the previously mentioned "do-nothing" day.

Reagan's favorite part of the trip - the Lego candies from the candy store at Quincy Market!

Boston - Day 5

Day 5 was considered by Peyton to be a "do-nothing day."  He claimed that it was his favorite day of our trip!  We spent the morning at the beach house.  The kids played in the hot tub for a long time.  They actually played in the hot tub on several occasions, and I failed to get a single picture!  That afternoon, we went down to a nearby beach.  The weather was perfect - not too cool for shorts and swim suits and overcast.  The water was freezing, but the kids spent most of the time playing in the sand.

Peyton wanted to build a tunnel in the sand, so he brought along a wrapping paper tube.

Boston - Day 4

On Tuesday, we headed to Plymouth Plantation, and experienced the Wampanoag and Pilgrim way of life.

Reagan was pretty good at trowing this "ball" through the hoop (or arrow target).

Settling in for naps as Wampanoag children did!
