Reagan got to experience playing goalie for the first time in today's soccer game, and she loved it! She successfully blocked many attempts to score by the other team! Daddy was really impressed with the instinct she showed with her timing to move out in front of the goal after a ball and to know where to move in relation to where the ball was being played.

The Littlest Goalie
Cheering for the Rangers
On Friday afternoon, Reagan participated in a girls' Cheer Clinic put on by the Smithson Valley High School Ranger cheerleaders. Reagan had several friends participating the clinic as well. The girls were all given a t-shirt and a hair bow. After checking in, the girls went to the gym and played a game with the "big girl" cheerleaders. It didn't take Reagan long at all to pick up the game, and she was quickly dancing happily around the circle chanting.
Following the cheers and dance, the girls lined up to walk out on to the field with the drill team for the player run-through.

Open House
On Thursday evening, we spent a few minutes celebrating Granmommy's 60th birthday with a family-wide Skype. The kids loved singing "Happy Birthday" to Granmommy into the computer! Peyton loved making silly faces and noises into the computer!
After the Skype session, it was time to head to school for the PTA meeting and Open House.

Rainy Day
Dr. Luke
Daddy Daughter Dinner Date
This evening, Chick-fil-a hosted a Daddy Daughter Dinner Date. Reservations were required, and Reagan has been looking forward to her date with Daddy for days! This morning, the first words out of her mouth were, "Today's the Daddy Daughter Date!" And as we were heading home from school today, she again said, "Today's the Daddy Daughter Date! Only girls and their Daddy's can come!" I'm not sure what she was envisioning, but she knew it meant Chick-fil-a with Daddy, so that was enough for her!
Tarzan
Although Peyton's beloved Tarzan has a home on a new desk this week, Mommy was able to take a quick picture of Peyton and Tarzan at school today. Peyton has already commented several times that he really misses having Tarzan on his desk this week! It was really special to him!
Soccer Has Started!
Reagan's first soccer practice and soccer game of the season were last week. (Peyton is taking a break from a soccer season for the first time since he was 4! He is taking golf lessons instead - pics to come soon!) Reagan is still playing at the YMCA. Since is turned 5 this summer, she moved up into the Little Kickers League. She now plays on an all girl team, and their games have a referee instead of being coach-called.
Reagan's season is off to a great start! She was a starter in the first game on Saturday. She really didn't like having rotate out when it was time to substitute other players! She would also get very noticeably upset every time the opponent scored. Reagan did a great job of staying on the ball and had several break aways and fast breaks down the field. She attempted to score a few times, but nothing went in, unfortunately.
Reagan's team is called the Crocodiles. There are nine players, including another Reagan Leigh (the coach's daughter), who, coincidentally, we had met before at a birthday party last spring.
The McKenna with Cousins
Last Friday, Reagan, Grandma and Mommy took a little trip to the nearby McKenna Children's Museum with cousins Cayden and Brinley and their GiGi and Pop. Reagan always has so much fun there and loved getting to show Cayden and Brinley all of her favorite things to do there!
