Snow Day!!!

Due to icy road conditions, we had our first "snow day" in about 4 years!  School was cancelled, but that didn't stop the kids from waking up at 5:30!  Immediately after breakfast, Peyton got dressed and went outside to investigate the ice.  It was cold!

Daddy/Daughter Date

Last Tuesday, Chili's hosted a Daddy/Daughter Date Night.  Dustin took Reagan - she was thrilled, of course.  She got all dressed up, selecting her "favorite" outfit (a sleeveless pink shirt and pants set with frills, requiring her to have to wear a jacket over it!).  Dustin reported that Reagan enjoyed the evening immensely and had a glow about her the entire time!  They even shared a chocolate moulten cake, Reagan admitted - although they couldn't finish it between the two of them!

PE Student of the Month

Last week, Peyton was awarded PE Student of the Month by his PE teacher.  He was - and we were! - pretty excited!

Christmas Vacation Fun

The rest of Christmas vacation went by as fast as the first part!  We returned home from Greenville on Saturday.  On Sunday, we took the kids to Fiesta Texas.  A nice surprise - we ran into friends and the kids got to do several rides together!

On Monday and Tuesday, the kids spent a great deal of time playing with their new Christmas gifts!

We spent NYE with friends, cheering the Aggies on to their Chick-fil-a Bowl victory over Duke!  All the kids managed to stay awake until midnight!  Peyton and Reagan were invited to sleep over, so Dustin and I awoke to a quiet house on the first morning of 2014!

On Thursday, we met a group of friends at the Mellow Mushroom (pizza place) for a tour and some yummy lunch.  The kids got to see how the "pros" make pizza and then made a personal pizza of their very own.

Feeling the heat from the oven.

 Carefully spreading sauce.

So yummy!

On Friday evening, we went to a "Happy Happy Happy" Duck Commander birthday party at Bass Pro Shop for Riley.

On Saturday, we finally celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa, Brett, Stephanie, Gregory and Caroline.  We had lunch at Lupe Tortilla and then headed back to the new house for presents.

Reagan showing Caroline how to "snip and slide" fingers on her new taggie.

Peyton patiently waiting to open his gifts - sometimes being the oldest kid is not so fun!

Grandma gave each of the grandkids a stuffed cloth ornament their great-grandmother had made for Brett and I - more than 30 years ago.
