Peyton's First Soccer Practice This Spring

Peyton's soccer season was kicked off tonight with the team's first practice.  Daddy is coaching again.  Peyton is playing in the Upward league again this Spring.  His team is co-ed - 4 girls and 4 boys.  First game is this Saturday!

Gregory accompanied us to practice.  He and Reagan had fun cheering on the team!

If You Take a Mouse to School

After Reagan's soccer game, we headed downtown to the Magic Theater.  We had tickets to see the play "If You Take a Mouse to School" based on the children's book with the same title.  The play was really cute, and we even ran into some friends there.

Getting our book autographed by the stars of the show.

Being silly.

Reagan's First Soccer Game of the Spring

Reagan's first soccer game of the season was today.  Reagan ROCKED!  From the first whistle, she was hustling after the ball like a pro!  She scored her very first goal ever within minutes!  Throughout the game, she scored two more times.  She proudly told us after the game - "I made THREE goals!"  Reagan's team this spring in the Tigers.  There are ten kids on the team.

 Ready for the game!

Strawberries!

This afternoon, the kids and I drove to Marble Falls to pick fresh strawberries from Sweetberry Farms.  This year, there was an added attraction - a popcorn popper!  The kids loved bouncing on the 1200 square foot trampoline!  Then we picked two huge baskets of straweberries and cooled off with yummy strawberry popsicles!  Tonight at dinner, when Dustin asked Reagan about her day, she said, "I had so much fun today, I just don't know what to say!"

Tea Party

One of Reagan's little BFF's had a cute little tea party this morning for her birthday.  The girls dressed up in their fanciest princess attire, enjoyed tea and a scrumptious lunch and played to their hearts content.

Reagan's First Soccer Practice

Reagan's first soccer practice of the season was last Wednesday.  She has been asking for weeks about when soccer was going to start again and was so excited when Wednesday finally arrived!  Her first practice was great!

St. Patrick's Day Trip

We went on a little St. Patrick's Day adventure today to Fredricksburg.  We enjoyed an alfresco lunch and explored the main street a bit, mostly the Nimitz Museum and the park at market square.  We also drove through the Willow City Loop, a 13 mile stretch of road through private ranches, with breathtaking hill country views and beautiful spring Texas wildflowers dotting the trail.  Since the road travels through private property, visitors are asked to remain in their cars on the road; thus I don't have any pictures from that part of the trip.  We also enjoyed a visit to Wildseed Farms.

Playing on the guns at the Nimitz.  This was Peyton's highlight for the trip!

The kids looking at several different types of bluebonnets.  We bought some bluebonnet seeds to "plant" on the greenbelt behind our house next fall.  Hopefully, we will have some of our own bluebonnets next spring!
