Weekend with Cousins

Last weekend, Mia and Lennon came into town, along with their entourage.  Peyton was counting the days until Mia came to visit and came to our house to play!  On Friday morning, we met everyone at the Lone Star Bakery for a tour.

 Getting hairnets and instructions.

Washing hands.

On the day we visited, the bakery was making blondies for Applebees.

Peyton was impressed with the conveyor belts...

...and the huge ovens!

After the bakery tour, Mia, Lennon and Jackson came back to our house for some playtime!

Later that afternoon, Shelby, who had just flown into San Antonio, and Jenna came over to pick up all the kids.

On Saturday, Daddy, Peyton and Reagan met the rest of the group Sea World to celebrate Lennon's birthday.   Unfortunately, Mommy had a conference in Austin to attend and didn't get to participate in the fun!

The Bay of Play Splash pad - which we'll forever remember as the place Reagan got lost!  It was so crowded, and Dustin just happened to lose sight of her in the chaos.  After a quick search, involving a few Sea World employees, Reagan was located happily playing in the water, and completely unaware that she was "lost"! :)

Soccer Game

San Antonio has a new professional soccer team called the Scorpions.  Their inaugural season is going really well, so, on one very hot summer Saturday evening, we decided to take in a game.  It was hard to tell who impressed the kids more - the awesome players or the rowdy fans!

Reagan's 5th Birthday

For a while now, Reagan has been requesting a "dress up tea party just like Elise's" for her 5th birthday party.  She went to a dress up tea party last spring and had a marvelous time!  Fortunately, several of her little girlfriends were in town over her actual birthday, so it worked out perfectly to have her party on her actual birthday!   This was also the first "drop off" party we've had for Reagan, and it was a hit!

Island decorated for Reagan's birthday breakfast.

Reagan's requested birthday breakfast - chocolate/chocolate chip muffins.  (I reused the decorations from her cake from the evening before - they were too cute!)

Reagan's first activity of her birthday was to dive into her presents!

She was ecstatic to receive her "pink rock-n-roll" guitar!

 Playing with the "blowers".

 Blowing out her breakfast candle.

Reagan insisted on getting dressed immediately following breakfast.  She also wanted to paint her nail "all by myself" with her new light pink nail polish.

Reagan's party invitations

Craft table - the girls decorated mirror frames and made bead necklaces.

Extra tiaras, wands and jewelry for even more dressing up!

Coloring table.  The large tea cup and saucer to be used in "pin the tea bag in the tea cup".

Cupcakes

 Many "pink" treats.

Dipped marshmellows on a stick with sprinkles.

The set table ready for her guests.

Birthday girl waiting for her guests to arrive.

Each girl had a little personalized tea cup and saucer to use for "tea".  Then they each took their cup home as their party favor.

Let's get this party started!  As the girls arrived they colored the princess pictures and the large tea cup.

Lovely ladies!

Ready for "tea"

Grandma served the girls tea (aka pink lemonade) with Reagan's new pink porcelain tea pot.

Craft time!

Making up their own "pinata"  game - hit the tissue flowers with the wands!

Time for cupcakes!

Daintily eating cupcakes before the mommies arrive.

A couple of Reagan's little friends stayed after the party just to play, and they decided that Reagan needed to open her party gifts.

Gregory cheered and clapped as Reagan opened her gifts!

During the party, Grandpa, Daddy and Peyton went out for  a "boys lunch" at Chipotle, per Peyton's request, but they made it back to the house in time for cupcakes. Stephanie and Gregory also came over to party with the girls.

We concluded Reagan's very happy birthday with dinner at Beefy's - Reagan's favorite place to have dinner these days!
