Warning - Don't Read This After Eating!
Due to either teething or a slight bug, Reagan has had very runny diapers the last couple of days. Peyton's comment on the situation - "Reagan has diaper-reah." :)

Last Week at the Francis Casa...
Last Sunday afternoon, I took Peyton to see his first movie on the big screen - the new Veggie Tales movie "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." He was very excited about getting to see a "Big Larry" and "Big Bob". He was even more excited to get popcorn, candy, and a Sprite! Peyton was very impressed with having to whisper. He even wanted to whisper after we left! We made it through about half of the movie, when he decided that he wanted to go. Of course, once we walked out the door, he decided he didn't want to leave after all. We've really been working with him on sticking with decisions, so we had to keep going to the car. Every day this week, Peyton has said, "I want to go back to the movies!"
On Tuesday, Gran Gran and Pe Pa came over for the afternoon. They stayed with Reagan while Dustin and I went to get Peyton signed up for a speech class and then had dinner with us. Peyton was very excited about their visit, and it was fun to all be together for a little while!
Peyton will be starting a speech class on Monday. He gets to ride a real school bus to a "big kid school". I took him to his classroom last week and introduced him to his teacher, who is an Aggie! :) He will be the seventh kid and a class with a teacher, an assistant, and a speech pathologist. He's going to attend for 2 1/2 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Reagan no longer sleeps in a swaddle! We knew we had to make the transition after she began busting through it almost every night and nap time. After she screamed every hour, on the hour, for one whole night and through about 6 nap times, she finally decided that it would be okay to sleep unswaddled. She now sleeps very well unswaddled! Our little baby is growing up!
We went to Peter Piper Pizza on Friday for lunch with some friends. Peyton wanted Reagan to get out of the stroller and play with him in the tunnels & slides. Last week, at Animal House (bounce house place), Peyton asked for Reagan to go down the big slide with him. Fortunately, he settled for her going down the big slide with Mommy. Peyton thought it was great - Reagan, not so much! We're really glad (and a little nervous!) that he is starting to want her to do more and more things with him!
Peyton is very excited that it is Easter time. We got the Easter box down from the attic this week. He has been asking to get out his bunnies since Valentine's Day was over. He loves to say, "It's Easter time now!"
We think Reagan is teething... she drools all over everything and bites anything she can pick up. Of course, with all the excess drool, she is enjoying making bubbles and spitting! It's really cute until she tries to do it while being fed green beans or some other food that we really don't want to wear!
Peyton's toys of the week: One small, red walkie talkie (we can't find the other one) that he keeps insisting that Mommy wear on her waistband "like they do at church". He was also fascinated by the doctor's stethoscope at a recent visit for Reagan and now has to have Mommy listen to all of his animals breath and cough with his toy stethoscope (daily!). Of course, Peyton is very happy to have all of his bunnies and Easter eggs out again!
Reagan's toys of the week: Mommy's hair! Anything she can grab, put in her mouth, and bite down on - hard! She really likes to sit on the floor and play in her toy basket.
Best Peyton-line of the week: While playing with Daddy this week, Peyton commented, "I have holes in my nose. I need to pix (fix) them."
Best Reagan-line of the the week: "mamamamamamama". We're still working on "dadadadadadad" :)
Peyton's favorite songs of the week: "I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy..." and "He's got the whole world in his hands."

Valentine's Day 2008
Goal for 2007: Create family blog site. Goal for 2008: Actually "blog" on blog site. The fact that I've written one entry since Reagan has been born says a lot about how much computer time I get these days! Well, since pictures are worth a thousand words anyway... I've at least attempted to keep those current!
It's Valentine's Day 2008. Kids are asleep. Dustin is playing soccer. The house is quiet...so Happy Valentine's Day to me! Peyton gave us the sweetest Valentine's gift of all this week. He finally began giving real lip-smacking kisses! He's always just pressed his lip against a cheek when asked for a kiss, but, this week, he finally starting smacking! It's so precious! We just can't get enough! He'll even kiss Reagan that way!
Now that Reagan is sitting up and playing with toys, she has become much more interesting to Peyton. He gives her toys to play with and will get down on the floor to play with her. We still are dealing with sibling jealously (does that ever really go away?). Today Peyton said, "I need to throw Reagan in the trash." Reagan LOVES to watch Peyton. Every time he is in the room, her eyes stay on him. Her biggest belly laughs are reserved for his antics.
Peytons favorite things these days: his animals (of course), his tent (which he sleeps in most nights), water in the mouth (to drink), Letter Factory video, asking how to spell words and then repeating it, taking pictures of his animals with his cameras (a future career in photography?), book My World, and insisting on doing everything "by himself." Peyton's least favorite things these days: water on the body (taking a bath or washing hands is a battle!) & vacuum noise.
Facts about Reagan: currently weighs 19 lbs 1 oz., eats a variety of baby food and some finger food, can almost put finger food in her mouth by herself, enjoys exersaucer and bouncer, also does not like baths, still loves to sleep in swaddle, is very chatty, says "mamamamamam", lifts arms to be picked up, smiles at anyone who smiles at her (and she gets LOTS of smiles!), & shows no interest in wanting to crawl (which is more than okay with Mom and Dad!).
How we celebrated Valentines Day: Dustin took Peyton to school this morning and attended "Dining with Dad". Peyton made him a very glittery poster board tie, a card, and a placemat. (The class had their party and exchanged Valentines on Tuesday) I took Reagan to the doctor to have her ear checked after an ear infection last month - ears looked great. Then we ran errands. Picked up Peyton at school. Reagan took a nap after we got home. Peyton played in the sandbox and ate a HUGE piece of chocolate cake. Dustin came home and we went to the mall food court for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. Which takes me back to... the kids are alseep and Dustin is playing soccer. And I'm enjoying a few moments of peace!
