Halloween Dinner

Since we have plans to attend a neighborhood potluck on Halloween evening, we decided to have our family Halloween dinner following the Trunk or Treat.  Reagan described it as a "thing" dinner.

We had mummies, lips with teeth, worm jello, ocotpi (or squids?) and witches brew to drink (not shown).  Reagan said, "I can't believe we actually get to have marshmellows WITH our dinner!"

And, of course, we had to have our jack-o-lantern pizza!

Trunk or Treat with Teachers

This year, our teachers organized a trunk or treat for students and families.  This has been the talk of the school for days!

Peyton and his teacher.  Her baby Andrew was fascinated by the big head!

Pumpkin Carving

One should not sweat while carving a pumpkin - or have the thought that maybe sunscreen would be necessary for this late October activity.  But then again - this is Texas!   The head and humidity made being outside hardly bearable, but we toughed it out (to save from cleaning up a mess inside!) and carved our pumpkin!

The theme for this year's pumpkin was a no-brainer - a creeper face!

Peyton confidently stepped up to the challenge of drawing the creeper face outline on the pumpkin.

"Gutting" the pumpkin.  Notice that both of our kids are wearing latex gloves...

Reagan's Note

So after Reagan was disciplined a bit for her attitude one day, she (on her own initiative and skill) wrote me this letter...

"I love you.  I won't ever argue with you for a week."

Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday after church, we met up with Grandma, Brett, Stephanie, Gregory and Caroline and headed up to Marble Falls to the pumpkin patch at Sweet Berry Farm.

Halloween Party with Friends

Last Saturday, one of Reagan's little Kindergarten friends hosted a fun Halloween party, complete with a huge cardboard maze!  The kids wore their costumes for the first time this year.  The maze was a hit!  And definitely a testament to the idea that all kids really need to play with is a cardboard box!

All dressed up and ready to go!  This year, Reagan is a "butterfly girl" and Peyton is Minecraft's Steve.

Peyton and friend Madison from his class - he was relived to see "older" kids at the party, too!

On a mission inside the maze...

Taking a break from maze play to enjoy some goodies!

The gang...

You just can't have a party these days without a photo booth!
